The Senior Test Automation Engineer as part of the Configuration Verification Test team is expected to perform at Seniority level in the following: • Automation Strategy Development: Participate of the Development and implementation of an automation strategy aligned with the organization's goals and objectives. • Test Planning and Execution: Collaborate with the Study Upgrades QA team to plan and execute automated test suites, ensuring comprehensive test coverage and timely delivery of test results. Plan and execute automation tests on a continual basis • Automation Scripting: Create automated tests to enhance the existing test suite using Selenium. Convert existing manual test scripts/cases to executable automated tests • Defect Management: Manage automation-related defects, including identification, tracking, prioritization, and resolution. • Performance Monitoring and Optimization: Monitor and analyse test automation performance, identifying areas for optimization and improvement. • Support and maintain the Unify test automation framework with respect to implementation of new features, existing features or bug fixes • Documentation: Document automation processes, frameworks, and best practices to facilitate knowledge sharing and ensure consistency across projects. • Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify improvements and enhancements, Continual improvement of the Automation framework Required skills & experience: • Degree educated or relevant working experience • Previous experience working as a Senior Test Automation Engineer (5+ years in Test Automation) • Strong hands-on automation skills drawn from experience of automating using varying technologies and tools • Strong understanding of various testing automation principles, concepts, approaches and methods • Ability to code in Java and an understanding of Object-Oriented design principles • Understanding & use of Automated agile / non-agile testing methods such as Cucumber BDD & Selenium etc • Been a team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Excellent spoken and written English language skills • Self-starter, highly motivated and loves embracing challenges • Jira, Confluence • Proactive attitude towards learning and problem solving, excellent communication skills, demonstrated ability to work with both technical and non-technical individuals • Excellent Task management skills and task prioritization Desired skills & experience • Working knowledge and experience of Cypress Test Automation Framework • Appium test automation framework Experience for testing mobile apps using Selenium WebDriver protocol • JavaScript Experience • API testing experience • BrowserStack working knowledge and experience • Experience working in a globally distributed team • Complex SQLs • Practical experience of Unix/Linux • Experience in participating and contributing towards PI and Sprint planning. • Understanding of Web Services, Azure and/or Amazon AWS • CI/CD, Jenkins
