We are looking for a Senior Solution Architect to join our Study Life Cycle Tooling (Study LC Tooling) engineering tribe. The Study LC Tooling tribe is responsible for developing customer delivering tools that is an integrational part of getting our solutions into the hands of customers and users. It consists of ~ 50 engineers and operates in a global environment, adhering to DevOps and Agile principles, and following GCP quality standards. As a Solution Architect for Study Life Cycle Tooling, you will be crucial in shaping the technical design and plans in alignment with the Customer Delivery Tooling Strategy. Your work will focus on reducing the overall effort required to deliver studies in Unify and enabling competitive differentiation in customer experience. This includes integrating existing tools into a cohesive workspace and establishing the technical foundations for end-to-end study life cycle tooling. The role requires extensive collaboration and communication with business stakeholders and engineering teams both within and outside the tribe. Overview of responsibilities The Senior Solution Architect is responsible for the overall technical design & planning of Study LC Tooling, ensuring a balance between business needs, strategy, and technology. This includes close collaboration with business stakeholders. A key aspect of your role will be coaching teams, sharing best practices, and advocating for continuous improvements. This role involves close coordination with the tribe lead, delivery manager, technical product owner, and other engineering teams within the organization. Key responsibility include: • Develop and maintain the overall architecture and design of the Study LC Tooling, ensuring alignment with business goals and technical standards. • Assess and select appropriate technologies, tools, and frameworks to meet the objectives. • Work closely with business stakeholders, product owners, and other technical teams to gather requirements, understand business objectives, and translate them into technical solutions. • Create and maintain required architectural and design documentation. • Provide technical guidance and leadership to development teams, ensuring best practices in coding, design, and testing are followed. • Ensure that all solutions comply with relevant industry standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies. • Advocate for and lead initiatives that drive continuous improvement in architecture, processes, and technologies, staying current with emerging trends and best practices. Required skills & experience. • Technical Degree and significant proven relevant experience as a Senior Solution Architect in a complex regulated multi-national environment. • Strong experience working in a global organization with geographically dispersed project teams and stakeholders. • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, translating complex technical concepts into business-friendly language. • Understanding of how technology can align with and drive business strategy, with the ability to foresee future needs and trends. • Strong teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively across various teams and departments. • Ability to provide technical leadership, mentor development teams, and guide them in implementing best practices. • Background as software developer and a solid understanding of the software development lifecycle.
