The role is located in the Platform Developer Experience (PDX) tribe within the Platform Mission. The PDX Studio oversees and owns the infrastructure that cuts across all engineering disciplines. What you'll do: Execute on future VCS infrastructure strategy that is able to serve 3000+ engineers doing 100’s of thousands of builds daily and beyond Support with Operational tasks keeping our systems healthy and uptodate Drive the automation and improvements of our chosen VCS across our current technical stacks. Help scale our VCS infrastructure to support our automated systems making mass changes across our fleet of services. Collaborate with Infrastructure teams across the company to discover what a best in class VCS infrastructure means. Who you are: You are an experienced engineering familiar with Linux and Networking fundamentals You are an experienced Software Engineer with Java, familiarity with Ruby would be a bonus You have experience deploying to and implementing solutions in GCP or AWS. You believe in iteration and know that finding the right solution is more important than the first. You like to focus on standardization and automation; always looking for ways to improve the developer experience You have 6+ years of experience in building and implementing large-scale systems across various projects and teams You have familiarity with and enthusiasm for software engineering best practices such as testing, continuous integration, and continuous delivery Skills: Linux system administration experience HTTP / networking Google Cloud (preferred) / AWS Github (Administration / Operations) Gitlab would be advantageous (if they don’t have Github) JFrog’s Artifactory instance (Administration / Operations) or Nexus Git expert Terraform Ansible Java (Spotify’s standard programming tech stack) Docker Communication Written and verbal communication
