The Lead Nearshore Programs and Delivery is responsible for the
strategic leadership, operational management, and continuous
development of the nearshore software development site. This
role involves end-to-end oversight, from supplier selection and
partnership management to practical site setup, process
governance, integration with the company's internal
development teams, and ongoing collaboration with external
partners.
Responsibilities and Deliveries:
• Supplier and Partner: Lead the selection, negotiation, and
management of partner companies, ensuring alignment with the
company’s strategic goals, quality standards, and budgetary
constraints.
• Supplier and Partner: Evaluate the performance and act as single
point of contact to partner companies, ensuring alignment with
the company´s strategic goals, quality standards, and budgetary
constraints.
• Operational Setup and Governance: Oversee the practical setup of
the nearshore site, includinginfrastructure, tools, and processes.
Establish governance frameworks to ensure compliance,
efficiency, and transparency in all operations.
• Development and Integration: Define and manage development
processes and integration workflows between the nearshore site
and the company's internal teams. Ensure seamless
communication, coordination, and alignment of software
development activities.
• Budget and Financial Oversight: Develop and manage the budget
for the nearshore site, ensuring cost-effectiveness and
adherence to financial targets. Track expenses, optimize
resource allocation, and report on financial performance.
• Assignment Startup, Transfer and Planning: Lead the planning and
execution new assignment initiatives as well as of scope
transfers from internal teams to the nearshore site. Ensure
detailed project plans, timelines, and resource requirements to
ensure successful handover and project delivery.
• Continuous Collaboration and Improvement: Coordinate ongoing
collaboration between internal and external stakeholders.
Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement,
innovation, and increased efficiency.
• Reporting and Stakeholder Management: Provide regular updates
to senior management and stakeholders on the status, risks, and
opportunities related to the nearshore site. Prepare detailed
reports, presentations, and analyses as required.
• Team Leadership and Development: Mentor and guide team
members both within the company and at the partner site to
foster a collaborative, high-performance culture.
Qualifications and skills required for the role
• Strong experience in managing software development projects,
preferably in an automotive or technology environment.
• Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams and
managing third-party suppliers/partners.
• Ability to understand and design software solutions,
architectures, and project setups. Deep knowledge of software
development processes, organizational design, and technology
stacks is essential.
• Proficiency in evaluating and assessing the productivity and skill
levels of development teams, ensuring optimal team performance
and alignment with project goals.
• Expertise in setting up and managing nearshore or offshore
development centers.
• Excellent project management, negotiation, and communication
skills.
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple responsibilities
in a fast-paced environment.
