Our team's purpose is to make data available for others. We develop data pipelines, data indexing and metadata extraction software that could enable users to find the data that they need. You will get the opportunity to reshape the database which will benefit many of your co-workers. Your daily tasks will comprise of: Database configuration and schema design Analyzing database performance and usage Collaborating with other teams to maintain and enhance the performance of existing database Take part in designing discussions within the team and review your colleagues code Required skills Great knowledge of and can share best practice in database management In-depth knowledge of data manipulation languages, e.g. SQL Python programming skills Who are you? Outgoing, open and self-driven Good communication skills and a problem-solver Enjoy working in a team based organization - collaboration skills, sense of responsibly and willingness to share knowledge and experiences is of importance It is not a requirement but nice if you have: Experience of PostgreSQL database administration Experienced in containerized software High-Performance Computing experience
