You will be asked to be part of a new team to develop in-house generic forecasting solutions to accommodate different use cases, to be used by other Data Scientists and Analyst. The Advanced Analytics & AI organisation has the mission to accelerate the AI transformation by identifying opportunities for the application of Data Science, Artificial Intelligence and machine learning throughout the company, and then acting on those opportunities. In addition, they develop and operate tools and processes to accelerate and support all teams using data science and machine learning. Main responsibilities: Develop the first version of forecasting engine used by their own Data Scientists Propose improvements to existing development processes, help speeding up and shorten the development cycle Working in a cross-functional team with Product Managers, Data Scientists, and Software Engineers Evaluate different technical trade-offs when designing solutions, considering timeline, maintainability, and quality Raising the efficiency and quality of applied analytics projects by standardizing and improving technical methods and applications, including the technical set-up, design, and scalability of their in-house plugins Basic Qualifications: MS/PhD in Computer Science, Bioinformatics, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or a related field 3+ years of experience in using Python, R, or similar languages 3+ years in applying forecasting techniques and time series analysis Good understanding of other machine-learning techniques and statistical tools Excellent problem solving and debugging skills Structured way of working, and good documentation skills Excellent communication (both verbal and written) and collaboration skills Good to have: Proven track record of dealing well with ambiguity, prioritizing needs, and delivering results in a dynamic environment Combination of technical skills and business savvy to interface with different levels and disciplines across the organization Ability to communicate technical concepts and solutions at a level appropriate for technical and non-technical audiences Experienced working in Software or Product Development
